My last memory of being with Jim is when we danced together at Joanne's 70th birthday party. He really had the wonderful LaPlaca spirit. He loved to have a good time with family and friends. He was there for so many important events. We were all together in Lake Tahoe for the 4th of July about 25 years ago. He was there for my Father's 90th birthday in Las Vegas and my niece Samantha's wedding in Colorado. And, when he was needed most, he spent the last months of his Mother's life with her.
