Uncle Jim, You remind me of Chris from into the wild, and Jessie from breaking bad. You were a super down to earth, crazy guy...and absolutely ridiculous. However, you were also one of the people I got along with best, and I am going to miss you. I liked how we could just talk about stuff like working on my car, or the refrigerator, and just have completely meaningless conversation that was for some reason or another perfectly satisfying. I really enjoyed spending time with you, and I am glad that you came back to Santa Barbara for a while, and I got to see you. You have always come and gone ever since I have been little, never really staying for too long. However, the last time I saw you, you were here for longer than ever before. That time, I feel like we got to become friends, instead of me being just one of your younger nephews. Last time you were here was the most memorable, maybe it was because of all the hours we/you spent working on the car, or because of the soup, we always just sort of talked when you were around. Whatever it was you had forged a really good lasting impression of who you were, then took off to the road again. The way you came and left seemed almost as natural as our relationship. You came to Santa Barbara, left a lasting positive impression, then you were gone. You kind of reminded me of the dude from the Big Lebowskie in your zen-ness. Anyways, I put in the humor because I know that you would have appreciated it...We joked around a lot too. Ill miss you uncle Jim, and everyone in my family will always know who you were.
